Chef McAndrew is a lifelong resident of West Scranton and has been the Culinary Instructor at the CTCLC since 2008. He has worked in every sector of the food service industry including; Private Chef, Healthcare, and Corporate Dining.
Chef McAndrew is a lifelong resident of West Scranton and has been the Culinary Instructor at the CTCLC since 2008. He has worked in every sector of the food service industry including; Private Chef, Healthcare, and Corporate Dining.
He has served on multiple committees and boards, such as the National Restaurant Association Food Safety Council and is the chairman of the City of Scranton's Public Safety Committee.
Chef McAndrew believes that every one of the students in his class have the right to receive an excellent education. "I am responsible for providing that education. I feel each student that enters my classroom has something to offer and has the ability to succeed. I treat each one of my students equally, regardless of their ability or performance. Students in my class are not passed over in favor of those that excel. Mistakes are looked upon as part of the learning process. Corrections are made in a nurturing and encouraging manner", states Chef McAndrew.
