Karla Carlucci, Ed. D.
Supervisor of Career and Technical Education
On July 18, 2017, The Joint Operating Committee Board appointed Karla Carlucci, Ed. D. as the Supervisor of Career and Technical Education of The Career Technology Center of Lackawanna County. Dr. Carlucci comes to the CTCLC with more than twenty years of service in public education. She previously served as a special education consultant and curriculum specialist at NEIU in Archbald, PA. Prior to that position, she taught high school math in both the Pocono Mountain School District as well as Monroe County Area Vocational Technical School, currently Monroe Career & Technical Institute. Karla is also an adjunct professor in the graduate education programs for Wilkes University and the University of Scranton.
Dr. Carlucci earned both her doctoral degree and master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Wilkes University. She specialized in educational technology and K-12 educational leadership, earning her Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility, Instructional Technology Specialist certificate as well as her Administrative K-12 Principal certificate. Dr. Carlucci earned her bachelor’s degree in Secondary Mathematics from Penn State University and holds a Level II Secondary Mathematics teaching certificate. Karla also holds a certificate as a Vocational Administrative Director. She is an alumna of Valley View School District.
