Dr. Karla Carlucci, Ed. D.

Director

On March 22nd, 2022, The Joint Operating Committee Board appointed Karla Carlucci, Ed. D. as the Director of The Career Technology Center of Lackawanna County. Prior to that, Karla worked at CTCLC as the Assistant Director/Principal and  Supervisor of Career and Technical Education. Having over 25+ years of experience in public education, Dr. Carlucci previously served as a special education consultant and curriculum specialist at NEIU in Archbald, PA, as well as a high school math teacher in both the Pocono Mountain School District and Monroe County Area Vocational Technical School, currently Monroe Career & Technical Institute. Karla is also an adjunct professor in the graduate education program for Wilkes University.

Dr. Carlucci earned both her doctoral degree and master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Wilkes University.  She specialized in educational technology and K-12  educational leadership, earning her Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility, Instructional Technology Specialist certificate as well as Administrative K-12 Principal certificate. Dr. Carlucci earned her bachelor’s degree in Secondary Mathematics from Penn State University and holds a Level II Secondary Mathematics teaching certificate. Karla also holds a certificate as a Vocational Administrative Director. She is an alumna of Valley View School District.
