LPN Instructor

Jill Mathewson earned her practical nursing diploma from the Career Technology Center of Lackawanna County, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Marywood University, and a Master's Degree in Nursing Education from Aspen University.  In addition, Ms. Mathewson is certified in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing.  She has worked in both long-term and acute care settings, including a skilled nursing facility, a progressive care unit, and a behavioral health unit.

Ms. Mathewson began her career at CTCLC's Practical Nursing Program in 2016.  Ms. Mathewson educates students in both the classroom and the clinical setting.  Ms. Mathewson teaches Provessional and Vocational Relationships I, Community Health, Disorders of Psycho-Social Adaptation & Medical Surgical Nursing I-Musculoskeletal & Gastrointestinal Diseases.  Ms. Mathewson is honored to be a part of the program that shaped her into the nurse she is today.
