Assistant Principal

On August 9, 2021,  the Joint Operating Committee Board appointed Dominick Carachilo, M.Ed. as the Assistant Principal of The Career Technology Center of Lackawanna County.  Prior to that, Dom worked at Johnson College as the VP of Academic Affairs and at the CTCLC in several capacities. He has over 25 years of experience in Career & Technical education. He served as a Team Leader for national and state accrediting bodies, was responsible for starting over 5 new programs of study with full programmatic accreditations, and oversaw all faculty and students during his tenure at the College.  While at Johnson College, he also served as a department chair and teacher in the Biomedical Equipment Technology department. 

Dominick earned his master's degree in Educational Leadership from Temple University and possesses a Superintendent Letter of Eligibility.  He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Lock Haven State University and an Associate in Specialized Technology degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology from Johnson College.  He is NOCTI certified in Electronics and an alumnus of the Carbondale Area School District.
