Cosmetology Instructor

Mrs. Kristina Petrauskas was born and raised in Dunmore, PA. After graduating from Dunmore High School, Kristina moved to South Florida, where she attended The American Institute of Cosmetology. After achieving her cosmetology license, Mrs. Petrauskas worked as a hairstylist/colorist at Wild Hare Salon and Spa in Boca Raton, FL until she and her husband moved back to Pennsylvania. 

In 2012, Mrs. Petrauskas decided she wanted to share her passion for cosmetology with others. She graduated from the Cosmetology Educator Program at Empire Beauty School and went on to become a Level 2 educator at Empire Beauty School in Moosic, PA. 

Kristina has always been a strong believer in career and technology education and supporting the trades. In 2021, Mrs. Petrauskas took a position with the CTC of Lackawanna County as a Paraprofessional, while still maintaining her career as a stylist/colorist at RD Hair Salon and Blow Dry Bar in Scranton, PA.

Kristina was hired as a Cosmetology Instructor at the CTCLC in 2022.  As an educator, she strives to assist and encourage the students at the CTC to achieve their goals and succeed in their future professions.
