Automotive Technology
The Automotive Technology program provides students with an entry-level background in the skills and knowledge needed for a career in the automotive repair field. This is a challenging program for students who are preparing to enter the automotive industry. Specialized classrooms and shop exercises are designed to provide instruction in the area of engine repair, suspension and steering, brakes, electrical/ electronic systems, and engine performance. Training also includes using state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, technical manuals, online resources, and a variety of hand and power tools. This program is evaluated by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) and certified by the National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). The program is also an affiliate school of AYES (Automotive Youth Education System).
