Administrative Director’s Message

  •    We welcome all of our students and their families to the 2019-2020 school year.   CTCLC will be continuing our work to completing our exterior renovation.  The exterior renovation is expected to take 2-3 years with the end result being a more welcoming and campus-like update to our front-facing entrance.  Our students and staff, as part of their learning process and to display the excellence of their craftsmanship abilities will do much of the work.  Photos of the work and progress will be displayed on our website.

CTCLC will be evaluated for Middle States Accreditation later this year. In addition, we will begin implementing our three-year Comprehensive Strategic Plan that is due to be submitted to the Pa. Department of Education at the end of November. We will also be starting a comprehensive needs assessment required by the new Perkins federal program.

CTCLC will be starting a new program offering certification in Medical Assisting as part of our Health Occupations Technology pathway.

We continue to update our equipment and programs. We have purchased additional equipment for our Collision Repair Technology program as well as our Welding and Fabrication program and our new Air Conditioning and Refrigeration program.

On August 26th we will hold our annual New Student/Parent/Teacher Orientation from 5:30 – 8:30PM.  Over 350 newly admitted students and their families will have the opportunity to meet their teacher and other school staff and begin to build the relationships that will carry us through the school year together.  Our back-to-school night for families of current students will be held on September 11th from 6:00-8:00PM.  Prospective students and their families are encouraged to schedule an appointment to visit CTCLC for a tour at any time. We will also be hosting an Open House on Monday, November 11, 2019 in conjunction with our celebration of Veterans Day and a special Veterans Day ceremony in the front of our building. Please check back for further details on these events.

    Sincerely,

    Thomas Baileys, Ed. D.
