47.0603 Auto-body/Collision & Repair Technology/Technician
Overview: The Collision Repair Technology program equips students with the essential skills and knowledge to begin a career as an entry-level technician in the dynamic collision repair industry. Students will focus on safety, damage cost estimating, metal and surface preparation, dent repair, priming, sanding, and painting techniques. Training includes welding (including aluminum), cutting methods, adhesive bonding, and refinishing plastic and composite materials. Additionally, students will learn about electrical systems, restraint systems, anti-lock brakes, Unibody-frame repair, and more. The program prepares students for the workforce by teaching resume writing and portfolio creation.
