Digital Communications Design
 

50.0402 Commercial & Advertising Art

Overview: The Digital Communications is a program that combines graphic design and technology to create solutions. This program will have a strong concentration on graphic design, digital photography, videography, motion graphics, website design, and multimedia design. Students will master the use of color, type, movement, video, and images to create visual projects to communicate and entertain.

Students will become proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud applications such as Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Dreamweaver, and more.

 

Post-Secondary Options: After completing the program, students can further their education by pursuing advanced degrees or certifications in the following fields. 

CTCLC currently has Agreements with the following college's

Articulation Agreements

  • King’s College
    • (9 credits for Communication Arts)
  • Pennsylvania College of Technology
    • (6 credits- Graphic Design or Advertising Art)
  • Luzerne County Community College (6 credits)

Dual Enrollment Agreements

  • Keystone College 
    • (While in Senior year at CTCLC)

Industry Certifications: Students are able to earn the following certifications in their years at the CTCLC.

  • Adobe Certified Associate

 

Co-Op Opportunities: 4th quarter Juniors and Seniors can be placed in the workforce through our Cooperative Education program. Below are some opportunities for DCD students.
