Leah Price, a senior from Scranton High School, has been nominated September Student of the Month by her Cosmetology Instructor, Ms. Christine Menichini. “Leah has been a constant in Cosmetology for the past 2 years. She completes all assignments and often needs extra assignments because she works so efficiently.  Leah is a natural-born leader and problem solver.  She takes charge of many situations in the class and all the students respect and listen to her.  Leah helps with organizing community service, the Student Salon and in 10th grade, helped me with tours.  She passed the Pa St. Board Early Licensure exam in June before she entered 12th grade, which is a tremendous accomplishment since she has an entire year of education left.  I depend on her for peer coaching, which she truly loves doing.  Overall she is an awesome student and a pleasure to have in my class”, stated Ms. Menichini. While in the Cosmetology program, Leah has obtained her OSHA10 for cosmetology certification.

Leah is the daughter of Debbie and Allen Price. Leah strives to maintain high grades while at CTC. She is a CTC Student Ambassador. “I joined CTC because I knew it would be great to have a Cosmetology license in the future as a backup plan”, stated Leah.

At Scranton, Leah has been a basketball cheerleader for the past 3 years. She also cheered throughout elementary school. Upon graduation, Leah plans to continue with her cosmetology career and possibly go to school to become a Dental hygienist.
