Steven Cardenas, a senior from Scranton High School, has been nominated April Student of the Month by his Automotive Instructor, Bryan Peck. ”Steven does not accept good enough as an answer. Whether it is his academic work or his technical work in the lab area, he always seeks perfection. His thirst for knowledge has helped him advance quickly at CTC and driven him toward success. Steven has a very bright future and possesses a unique skill that can not be taught. He is always willing to help his fellow classmates and sets an example for all students to follow”, stated Mr. Peck
Steven has had a very successful career while at the CTCLC. He has been a district medal winner at SkillsUSA for the past two years and has obtained multiple industry certifications. To name a few, Steven has successfully obtained his ASE 609 Refrigerant certification, OSHA10, Snap on 504 Multimeter certification, Valvoline Ignition program, and multiple FORD ACE program certifications. He was recently recognized by Ford Motor Company for his successful completion of these certifications in the fall. Steven is also a very active CTCLC Student Ambassador.
At Scranton High School, Steven is a member of the soccer team. Steven looks to attend the University of Scranton to become an Electrical Engineer.
