September Student of the Month: Sponsored by Fastenal

Charlene Dixon, a senior from Scranton High School, has been nominated September Student of the Month by her Health Occupations Instructor, Jen Savo. In her three years at CTC, Charlene has demonstrated her dedication to the CTC through her excellent attendance and academic performance maintaining an A average. Charlene has completed a number of certifications including, OSHA10, Mandated Reporter, & CPR/AED Certification. She is working towards her certified Clinical Medical Assisting Certification (CCMA) through NHA. She will sit for this exam in the spring. Charlene is kind, compassionate, and dedicated to her studies. She is going to be an asset to the healthcare field”, stated Mrs. Savo.  


Charlene is actively involved at the CTCLC. She is a CTC student ambassador, has assisted with the blood drive at CTC for the past two years, and got 3rd place in Medical Terminology at SkillsUSA. 


At Scranton High School, Charlene is in the top 40 in her class and serves as captain of the Step Team. Charlene plans to attend Howard University next fall and study to become a driving force in the healthcare field.
