Congratulations to Charlene Dixon, a senior Health Occupations student, from Scranton High School, for being named NEIU19 Scholar of the Year for the Career Technology Center of Lackawanna County! She was nominated for her hard work and accomplishments over her three years in the Health Occupations program at the CTCLC. A dedicated Student Ambassador, Charlene was named CTCLC's September Student of the Month, has maintained an A average throughout her time at CTC, and was recently inducted into the National Technical Honor Society. She will be graduating with multiple industry certifications such as OSHA10, Mandated Reporter, CPR/AED Certification and is eligible to sit for the CCMA exam in May. She has also helped with the Health Occupations annual Blood Drive and got 3rd place in Medical Terminology at SkillsUSA.
