February Student of the Month: Sponsored by Fastenal
Jada Bass, a senior from Scranton High School, has been nominated February Student of the Month by her Protective Services Instructor, Mr. Jon Coyne. “Jada is an amazing student who demonstrates great leadership abilities. She is always a student who will step up and offer assistance to her fellow classmates. Jada has participated in SkillsUSA for Crime Scene and is an Ambassador for SkillsUSA. She strives to do her best in all parts of the program”, stated Mr. Coyne. While in the Protective Services program, Jada has obtained her First Aid/ BLS; PATH; ICS 100, ICS 200, ICS 700, ICS 800; OSHA 10; Hazwhoper 24 certifications. Not only does Jada have an A average in the program but is an active CTCLC Student Ambassador.
Jada is the daughter of Annmarie and James Bass. “I came to CTC to join the Protective Services class and learn more about how to be a Corrections Officer. I came to CTC to broaden my career options and meet new people”, stated Jada.
At Scranton HS, Jada is a member of the National Honor Society of Scholars and is on the Honor Roll. In her spare time, she enjoys painting, reading, playing basketball, and doing activities with her residents at Allied Services, where she works.
Upon graduation, Jada plans on becoming a Corrections Officer. She also plans on attending The University of North Dakota to pursue a Law degree.
