November Student of the Month: Sponsored by Fastenal

Phong Tran, a senior from Scranton High School, has been nominated November Student of the Month by his Computer Networking Infrastructure Instructor, John Moran. “ Phong is a brilliant student earning a 98 this quarter. He has several industry certifications and is pursuing several more. His attendance and work ethic are top-notch as he is always striving to be an elite student. Phong has earned several 99 and 100 quarter grades during his time at CTC. He is a role model to other students and leads the pack in motivation”, stated Mr. Moran. 


Phong is a CTCLC Student Ambassador and a volunteer with Mr. Moran’s Networking Camp. As a volunteer for the Networking camp, Phong has accumulated over 20 hours of community service, outside the normal school day. In his spare time, Phong likes to play the piano and teaches himself Korean and Mandarin. After graduation, he plans on attending the Rochester Institue of Technology in New York City.
