Print Production Technology

 

This program prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to plan, prepare and execute commercial and industrial print products using mechanical, electronic and digital graphic and printing equipment.

Students learn page layout, offset lithographic presswork and bindery as well as flexography, screen printing, and digital printing. Emphasis is on typographical layout and design using computer graphics, offset preparation and operation, paper cutting, ink and color preparation, screen printing production, digital printing, engraving, and use of industry standard software. Also included in the course are cost/inventory control, job planning, troubleshooting, repair of equipment, and estimating.

Sheet-fed and wide-format digital printing
